We've got a treat for you this Saturday night. Big Stump Slab Bacon proudly presents Pat Zyduck and Dustin Lee this Saturday evening at 7:00pm at the Stumpjack Coffee House, the only true coffee house this side of Gondor. Pat Zyduck has performed with us a few times now, both solo and as part of the siuper group Icarus Drifting (who will, btw, be here for a return performance at month's end, April 22nd). Pat has one of those rich, warm, kind of world-weary voices that seems to saturate the air. And he's a very fine songwriter and guitar player, with a few CDs to his resume already. If it was just him, performing sole, it would be a dang good night of music...BUT he's sharing the bill with another excellent singer/songwriter, Dustin Lee, which makes it an even more special night of music.

Last year Dustin, with his CD "On My Way Back Home," earned top honors as the 2010 ISMA (Indian Summer Music Awards) winner in the Folk category. This is a small excerpt from Dustin's bio page of his website (http://www.dustinlee.net/...I'd encourage you to check out his site for more about Dustin):

Dustin Lee is an American singer-songwriter, originally hailing from Fort Madison, Iowa.  Currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he has recently released his album “On My Way Back Home” featuring thirteen moving, thoughtful, and poignant songs inspired by life in the Hawkeye state.

and this comment from music critic Michael Popke in The Shepherd Express:

"On My Way Back Home celebrates simplicity and effectively serves as the perfect soundtrack to the recession of 2009".

Finally, here's some excellently produced video of Dustin, including his performance of  on Twin Cities Live:
